About the Job

As a Federal Account Executive, you will drive our growth within federal agencies by developing and executing strategies to increase adoption, retention, and expansion of company products and services. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in sales and account management, along with a deep understanding of the specific challenges and opportunities in the federal sector. This position is commission-based.

What you’ll do

  • Develop and execute strategies to increase adoption, retention, and expansion within your assigned federal agency accounts.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with key stakeholders, including leaders, administrators, and IT professionals within federal agencies.
  • Understand the unique needs and challenges of federal civilian agencies and create customized solutions to address their specific requirements.
  • Drive the adoption and effective use of the company’s products and services within your accounts.
  • Collaborate with sales, marketing, and product development teams to ensure the success and alignment of products, new features, etc.
  • Develop and implement strategic account plans to drive revenue growth and meet sales targets.
  • Monitor and report on key account metrics, including sales pipeline, revenue forecasts, and customer satisfaction.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement and optimization in account management processes to enhance overall performance and client satisfaction.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in business preferred or relevant work experience
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in sales, account management or business development, within the technology sector.
  • Minimum of four (4) years of experience selling SaaS solutions to federal agencies

Required Skills / Certifications

  • High-level experience working with federal agencies
  • Proven track record of exceeding sales targets and driving revenue growth
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex ideas to a variety of audiences
  • Excellent marketing and business development/sales skills
  • Advanced knowledge of sales and sales strategies, strong negotiation and decision-making skills
  • Well-versed in federal government security standards and policies
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

Preferred Skills / Certifications

  • Proven experience building excellent client relationships
  • Basic knowledge of what it means to work in an agile environment

Security clearance

  • You must be able to obtain a security clearance (Secret or higher) – US Citizenship required
